Procedural Hearing To Take Place on Monday 20 July 2026

The Omagh Bombing Inquiry will hold a procedural hearing in Belfast on Monday 20 July. If needed, the hearing will continue on Tuesday 21 July. 

Proceedings will begin at 10.00am each day. 

This hearing will address the queries as detailed in the Chairman’s Ruling on anonymity, published on the Inquiry’s website on 12 June 2026 here – Ruling on Applications for Anonymity – Omagh Bombing Inquiry

How to watch the hearing 

The Hearing will take place in the Inquiry’s Hearing Centre in 1 Bradford Court, Belfast, BT8 6RB.

The hearing will be streamed via the Inquiry’s YouTube Channel, on a delay, for those who wish to watch the proceedings online and updates will be shared on the Inquiry’s X feed.   

Transcripts and further details on the hearing will be available on the Hearing Section of the Inquiry’s website.  Further details on how to attend the hearing will be published in the Inquiry’s website in advance of the hearing.   

Omagh Viewing Room 

In addition to the Hearing Room in Bradford Court, a remote viewing space is available for anyone who wishes to watch the hearings from Omagh, subject to restrictions.   

The proceedings of the hearing will be broadcast to a public viewing space in the Station Centre, 17 James St, Omagh BT78 1QX. This facility is open to anyone who wishes to attend and you do not need to register in advance.
