Opening Statements to Take Place in Omagh on 23 and 24 June

The Omagh Bombing Inquiry will hold Core Participant Opening Statements next week.

These statements are scheduled to take place in Omagh over two days on Monday 23 June and Tuesday 24 June. For the purposes of these statements, the Omagh Bombing Inquiry will take place at the Silverbirch Hotel in Omagh.

These hearings are not evidential hearings. Legal representatives from the Inquiry’s Core Participants will make opening statements to the Inquiry during the hearings. The full list of recognised legal representatives is available on the inquiry website here. The legal representatives will be seated at tables in the hearing room, to the side of the Chairman

The hearings will be live streamed via YouTube for those who wish to watch the proceedings online and a full transcript will be published on the Inquiry website at the end of each day.
